Teaching Strategies Gold

Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG) is both an on-going and formal assessment that is used for children ages birth through kindergarten. The assessment is aligned with the Creative Curriculum that is used at Clover Hill ELC. Teaching Strategies Gold utilizes and assess six developmental areas. These areas are; social-emotional, physical, cognitive, mathematics, language and literacy. Children are assessed on 38 objectives using the six content learning standards. These are math, science, technology, social studies, arts, and literacy. 

Each child has their individual assessment portfolio that is updated regularly by their teacher as the child meets the different learning objectives. The assessment results are discussed with the child's parents/guardians twice a year in the fall and spring or as needed when reviewing the child's developmental goals.
