Park Older Toddler Class

Children are 2 - 3 years old in this class, and this is the transitioning class before preschool. Children continue to learn independent skills and practice these skills in an environment that is created into individual centers to promote a variety of learning styles. The centers in the room consists of art, science, writing, dramatic play, blocks/trucks, manipulatives, math, reading and sensory. Children will begin to experience a structured environment following a daily schedule to help prepare them as they move into Preschool. 

The Older Toddler and Preschool classes have group learning experiences throughout their day to continue with our practice of family grouping. The younger children will experience higher level thinking activities and the older children will have more opportunities to mentor the younger children by taking on a leadership role. This will provide the Preschool children with more self-confidence skills and helps to build their self-esteem by assisting the Older Toddler children.
