The Beginning of Clover Hill ELC

My dream has always been to open my own early learning center since I began my career in early childhood education 26 years ago. My most recent position was as a principal of an early childhood program for a large school district for the past nine years. This experience helped me learn a lot about managing a preschool and childcare program. I gained the confidence to finally take the big leap to achieve my dream of opening my own program.

When my husband and I purchased the building at the end of May 2023, we knew the building had so much work that needed to be done to make it a safe and high quality center that I dreamed of owning. We knew this was going to take a lot of time and perseverance, but were ready for the challenge! 

Over the next 5 months we spent our evenings and weekends remodeling the building from top to bottom while continuing to work our current full time jobs and keep up with our two busy boys. We knew it would all be worth it once we opened and that time was coming very soon.

Finally, in middle of November we had our state licensing inspection that finally gave us the go ahead to open. I couldn't wait to start welcoming our new Clover Hill ELC families into our center. Our grand opening for the community was on November 8th and we began welcoming children on November 27, 2023. My staff and I were very excited to see all of the new faces coming into the new center. My hope is to keep enrolling more children into Clover Hill ELC, and expand our services in the near future so that we can provide more programs to our families.
